Carissa Bennett AuD
Dr. Carissa Bennett graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), obtained a Masters degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and a Doctorate in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences, in Phoenix AZ. She worked at the House Ear Clinic in Los Angeles from 1981-1986, with an emphasis on medical-legal audiology with Dr. Aram Glorig, and hearing aid research with Dr. James Sheehy. In 1985, Dr. Bennett published “Hearing Aid Benefit with Minimal High Frequency Hearing Loss” in the Journal of Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery.
Dr. Bennett has been in private practice since 1986. She co-owned and directed Hearing Care Associates-Glendale until 1996. Her office was awarded “Best of Glendale” by the Glendale Newpress yearly and was recognized by Senator Hershel Rosenthal in 1988. In 1989, she married her partner, Dr. Gregory Frazer. In 1996, Hearing Care Associates-Glendale became part of Sonus-USA and Dr Bennett assumed responsibility as Director of Operations for West Coast offices. Dr. Bennett is currently Director of Operations for the Pacific Eye & Ear Audiology Department.
Dr. Frazer and Dr. Bennett have two children, both of whom are black belts and Jr. Olympic national champions in the martial art of Taekwondo.
