Marni L. Novick, AuD, CCC-A

 Marni L. Novick was born and raised in Melrose Park, Illinois and initially was interested in medicine. She attended The University of Iowa, graduating with degrees in Biology and Anthropology. Due to personal experience with her own hearing loss, Dr. Novick decided to pursue a professional career in Audiology. She received her Masters’ degree in Audiology from The University of Iowa in 2000. In addition to her coursework, Dr. Novick conducted research with one of the top researchers in the hearing aid industry, Ruth Bentler, Ph.D. In December 2001, Dr. Novick published her thesis research in the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Novick began her professional career as an audiologist with Sonus-USA, Inc., one of the largest hearing aid retailers. In October 2002, Dr. Novick joined Pacific Eye and Ear Specialists as a staff audiologist. In June 2004, Dr. Novick completed her doctorate in audiology through Pennsylvania School of Optometry, School of Audiology, via the on-line long distance learning program. Dr. Novick, along with Dr. Gregory Frazer, developed a course to train audiologists and other health care professionals in the diagnosis and management of balance disorders.

Dr. Novick is married to Scott J. Novick, Ph.D., and resides in Santa Clarita. Scott is a biochemical engineer with a private research company, Biocatalytics, in Pasadena. They have one son, Aaron and a yellow lab, Sawyer. Dr. Novick enjoys spending her free time with her family and her interests include tending to her roses, hiking in the mountains, reading books and spending time with their friends.
